Everyone of these pieces starts in wax and is made by you. You design, you carve and we cast and set your precious stones exactly where your want them.  

Carve your own ring in wax at your kitchen table, then send it back to our London studio with the pre-paid envelope. We then cast it in solid silver or 18ct gold with your precious stones in place and polish it by hand, with your chosen matte or shiny finish. The wax carves easily with the tools included and you size it yourself as you go, so it fits exactly. 

Thinking of a Christmas gift? With this kit, they design it and size it themselves, so there's no chance of getting either wrong. You give them the experience, and they keep the ring.

Stone size

  • Most stones are 3mm diameter

  • Pink sapphires are 2.5mm diameter

  • As these are cut natural stones, very slight size variation is normal

THE PROCESS

1. Carve out your design or stamp a print into the wax using the tools provided.

2. Return it to our studio in the prepaid envelope​.

3. Receive your finished ring or pendant, cast in your choice of silver or gold, and polished to a professional finish in 4-6 weeks.

FAQS

Do I need jewellery-making experience?
No, most of our customers are first timers. Your role is simply to design and carve the form in wax – we handle the technical casting.

What if I make a mistake in the wax?
That's completely normal. Wax is forgiving – you can reshape it, smooth it, melt small sections back together or start again. If unsure you can add some extra wax to your basket.​

What if I am unsure about size or style?
You size it yourself. When it comes to the width of the rings we say 3mm is for a delicate, fine jewellery stacking band, 5mm for a small signet, 8mm for a chunky band or signet.​
 

Is this suitable as a gift?

​Yes the kits are designed to be meaningful, hands-on gifts – especially for people who enjoy making something personal. You don't need to know their ring size to get started as they size it themselves.

Customs charges for international orders?
Customs and duties. For international orders we pay any import duties and taxes in advance. There is nothing to pay when your parcel arrives.
