SHIPPING

UK. Orders are dispatched within 2 working days. Orders placed before 12pm GMT should arrive within 3 to 5 working days. Orders placed at weekends or on public holidays are handled on the next working day.

International. We ship to Europe, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Orders should arrive within 10 to 14 working days.

Customs and duties. For international orders we pay any import duties and taxes in advance. There is nothing to pay when your parcel arrives.

International returns. The pre-paid return envelope covers UK postage only. If you are outside the UK you will need to arrange and pay for return postage yourself. Mark the customs form as a "returned good" to avoid unnecessary charges.

Delayed or lost orders. A parcel is considered lost after 15 working days in the postal system for UK orders and 21 working days for international orders. We cannot dispatch a replacement until that period has passed. We are not responsible for delays caused by Royal Mail.

CASTING TURNAROUND

Casting takes 4 weeks from the day we receive your wax, plus 2 further weeks for gold plated items.

Allow around 7 to 9 weeks in total from ordering, depending on how long you spend carving.

Christmas 2026

To receive your finished piece before Christmas, post your wax back to us by:

UK orders
Gold plated: 17 November 2026
Silver or bronze: 24 November 2026

International orders
Gold plated: 30 October 2026
Silver or bronze: 6 November 2026

Order by 24 October (UK gold), 31 October (UK silver), 25 September (international gold) or 2 October (international silver) to give yourself two weeks to carve.

International dates are earlier because shipping takes 10 to 14 working days in each direction.

CASTING VALIDITY

Casting is valid for 6 months from purchase. Because the price of silver moves, we cannot hold the cost indefinitely.

A 6 month extension is £25 per ring. Email us and we will sort it out.

MATERIALS

We cast in sterling silver (925) or bronze, using recycled metal.

Both can be plated in 18ct gold. Gold plating over silver is known as gold vermeil. Gold plating over bronze is not vermeil and is described as gold plated bronze.

Bronze develops a patina over time and will tarnish. It can be polished back, but if you want a piece that stays bright without upkeep, choose silver.

RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS

If you change your mind. Unused, unopened kits can be returned within 14 days for a full refund. Return postage is yours unless the item was faulty.

Once you have started carving. Wax that has been worked on cannot be returned, because the piece is made to your own design.

Before we cast. If you have posted your wax and changed your mind, email us straight away. If we have not cast it, we will refund the casting.

If you are not happy with the casting. Tell us. If something has gone wrong at our end we will recast or refund it. If it has come out differently from what you pictured, we will talk it through and see what we can do. We would rather sort it out than have you keep something you do not like.

Not sure before you post? Send us a photo of your wax. We will tell you honestly how it will cast, and it takes two minutes.

WARRANTY AND REPAIRS

All pieces carry a 3 month warranty against faults in casting or finishing.

Gold plating wears with time and is not covered by the warranty. Replating is available. Email us for a price.

Resizing is available on cast pieces. Email us for a price.

PRIVACY

What we collect. Your name, email address, delivery address and order history when you buy from us. Your email address if you sign up to our mailing list. Standard analytics data about how you use this site.

Why we collect it. To process and deliver your order, to answer your questions, and to send you marketing emails if you have asked for them.

How long we keep it. Order records for 6 years, as required for tax purposes. Mailing list data until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with. Our payment provider, our delivery partners, and the casting workshop where relevant. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Marketing. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us.

Your rights. You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email us and we will action it.

Photography. We sometimes photograph finished pieces for our own promotional use. We will always ask you first.
